First Baptist Church, built in 1854, located at northwest corner of Walnut Boulevard and Fourth Street. In 1973, the congregation built a new church and this building was sold. The Samuel Harris Fountain can be seen in the center of the photograph. The fountain is now located east of the police station, north of University (Fifth Street). Addressed to Mrs. Christine Gibson of Rochester, Michigan from Georgia V. Smith. (RRP-213) see also P-165, P-318
