Portrait of Colonel John Chadsey Frank, Sr. (1799-1877). He was born in Vermont and had a farm on the north side of Hamlin Road in Avon Township. Colonel Frank was married to Arabella Chipman (1805-1846) and Adeline Kettell (1798-1886). His children include Mary A. Frank (Beckett), John Chadsey Frank, Jr., Edwin Rufus Frank, Arabella O. Frank, and Lucius Lyon Frank. Re-photographed in an ornate frame.
